Kore-Eda’s Air Doll is described by some critics as a japanese version of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Amelie (someone even added “but directed by a lobotomised Kim Ki-Duk”… That’s Cannes, right?). Anyway, we can now discover some footage from the film, what do you think?

[Update: Another clip, about urban loneliness "I'm empty / Me too / I wonder if we're alone? / Nowadays, it's the same for everybody / Everybody? / Yes, and most of all people living in that kind of city. You're not the only one" ]

Wow, looks fantastic. Definitely psyched for the film now.

I didn’t know about the Amelie comparison (I try to avoid reviews before watching films), but I see it a little in the second clip.

D’une lenteur quasi complaisante. J’attends de voir le film en entier plutôt que des clips chopés ça et là.
