While promoting The Wrestler, Darren Aronofsky gave some news about the Lone Wolf & Cub film adaptation, which was announced back in 2003.
He told MTV “The rights from Japan were never cleared [...] They tried for a while. I don’t think it’s getting out of there anytime soon.” But, he added “I’d love to do that. It’s one of Japan’s great pieces of literature.”. Sometimes rights issues are great!
