One of the best thing in Samurai films are the fight scenes. It’s even better when it’s an one-against-everybody fight! Here’s my top 5 (with short clips):
#5 – The Betrayal (1966, Tokuzo Tanaka) – IMDb
When a betrayed man becomes the public enemy N°1.
¤¤¤
#4 – Miyamoto Musashi (1964, Tomu Uchida) – IMDb
When the greatest samurai ever, Miyamoto Musashi, becomes a wild beast.
¤¤¤
#3 – Sword of Doom (1966, Kihachi Okamoto) – IMDb
When an “Evil mind, evil sword” becomes reality.
¤¤¤
#2 – The Great Killing (1964, Eiichi Kudo) – IMDb
When japanese feudal terrorist attack!
¤¤¤
#1 – Harakiri (1962, Masaki Kobayashi) – IMDb
When a renegade chalenges his lord, his society.

where is the last scene of Samurai Rebellion? In my opinion is the best sword fight scene, better than Harakiri.
In Sword of Doom all the fighting scenes are great.
The great killing, that’s an unusual choice but it’s a very good scene, one of the most realistic ones because there is no supreme swordsman and they all just kill each other (The other final fight scenes from Kudo’s Samurai Revolution Trilogy are great as well).
There is a very cool showdown at the end of The Betrayal (1966).
In Harakiri I prefer the duel scene because the setting is so perfect.
The Miyamoto scene seems to be very good, I didn’t have the chance to see these films yet.
In the Zatoichi films there are many great fights for example this one:
