OST – Art Theater Guild Movies

# Japanese Movies,OST2 Comments

This needs to be shared with every Japanese film lovers!

Just a quick reminder, the Art Theater Guild was an independent production company from the 1960s to the early 1990s, producing some of the most artistic & innovative Japanese films ever made. Like Toshio Matsumoto’s Funeral Parade of Roses or Terayama’s Throw Away Your Books. Some of these films can be found on english-friendly bootlegs. Very few have been released officially, at least with english subs.

And as a starting point, listen to this amazing 7-disc soundtrack, which includes lots of rare & unedited tracks from these films – even some foreign movies that were first distributed in Japan by the ATG! That’s a must-have! As always, to give you an idea;

From Human Bullet, by Masaru Sato–who will rearranged later the score for Hitokiri

Thanks H2O & Miguel!
