As you know, some famous directors worked on the Zatoichi film series, the best example is Kenji Misumi who always brought fresh ideas to the series.
In 1974, Zatoichi was turned into a popular TV series. The final two episodes were directed by none other than Hiroshi Teshigaraha (Woman in the Dunes). The result is, strange, to say the least.
