Nolan’s Inception was this year’s summer game, with people trying to understand the story. We’ve seen lots of fan-made pictures explaining what’s going on during the film, what’s the meaning of the end, dream or reality…
Some people have suggested that the key wasn’t in the story, but maybe, it was the story, ie the film itself. Trying to figure out the meaning, and the experience of watching the film, are the audience’s inception. Nolan’s The Prestige worked also like that (remember the first line; are you watching closely?).
The point with japanese cinema? Well, do you know any j-films working the same way?
