This korean film, directed by former Kim Ki-Duk assistant, is said to be a real gem! The story of a city woman forced to live on a small island, where her friend – the only young woman over there – is treated like a slave. So, the film mixes differents genres, from comedy to vengeance, and influences (Shindo’s Naked Island…). first reviews were quite good, and the film hit korean theaters early September.
Good news, Bedevilled will come out on UK DVD/BR on February 28, 2011! Pre-order it!
FYI, the literal english title is “The Whole Story of Kim Bok-nam’s Murder Case” (김복남 살인사건의 전말).
