Japanese director Shunji Iwai (Love Letter, Swallowtail Butterfly…) will be directing an english-language vampire romance; the shooting will start in May in Vancouver! So far, little is known about the story, it’s said to be a “modern, erotic, romantic take on the vampire genre” where “suicidal young women” fall in love with a vampire… Starring Amanda Plummer and Yu Aoi (Hana & Alice).
Now, let’s hope Shunji Iwai hasn’t lost his touch and will avoid the pitfalls of the genre!

I never understood what is so cool with 岩井俊二. It is lame cinema.
