Trailer for Na Hong-jin’s Yellow Sea!

# Korean Movies,News3 Comments

Yellow Sea‘ (황해), formerly ‘Murderer’, is the new film from The Chaser director Na Hong-Jin,. It’s about a man forced to accomplish a killing job to pay off his debts. But it turns out, he’s also the target of another killer… The film stars Ha Jung-woo & Kim Yun-seok, it will come out in South Korea late December ’10!

It should be released in North America too; Hollywood major studio 20th Century Fox is co-producing the film! Following the Universal Pictures example, which in 2009, was the first american studio to co-produce a south korean film (Park Chan-Wook Thirst)!

Na Hong-Jin made an interesting statement about this project!

The year before last, I saw a foreign kid in the corner of a small restaurant, eating alone. He looked like he was about ten years old and he wore a very dirty outfit, seemingly from a construction site, and he was eating what I thought was curry. He was there without his parents. The owner of the restaurant told me that the boy comes to his restaurant for every single meal. For some reason the lack of expression on his face while he spooned up his food stuck in my mind.

Nous verrons s’il confirme après un premier film plutôt réussi. Le sujet m’a l’air d’être intéressant. A surveiller donc… Dans tous les cas, il semble rester fidèle à ses acteurs.
