Yes! Funimation is currently revealing their new acquisitions. After the 15 Shaw Brothers titles, two japanese films have been announced on DVD; RoboGeisha & Kamui (which will also be released in the UK, find more details).
RoboGeisha is a gore film a la Tokyo Gore Police, while Kamui is a mainstream ninja flick.
Release dates are still unknown, specs will come later hopefully.

Actually, I’ve heard RoboGeisha is pretty short on blood and gore. I may check it myself later this month, though.
Confirmation. Robo-Geisha is not a splatter movie, it’s basically a kids movie. It’s rated pg-12.
It’s also a pretty bad and unfunny film. Not nearly as good as The Machine Girl, which wasn’t all that good to begin with. The director should consider becoming a stand up comedian. Cay Izumi putting a dart (no typo) into his ass in the opening gala was way funnier than the movie. And Izumi appears to be more impressive as real life pole dancer than as the masked villain in this movie.
How about the tits&ass factor?
Well, there’s some swords coming out of their asses…
… and a good amount of… ehm, shaking, in the ass sword fighting scenes…
…but no, there’s no nudity in the film.
Maybe I should add to my previous post that there is some blood, but it’s basically all CG and played for laughs. I suppose this wouldn’t get a pg-13 in the US, but it is indeed pg-12 in JP.
Some photos from the premiere on my blog.
Rated 18 by BBFC. I can’t believe it. What a joke.
