Obayashi’s House is currently being screened all around the US. Janus Films is trying hard to promote this forgotten japanese masterpiece described as “an episode of Scooby Doo as directed by Dario Argento“. They’ve just opened a website where you’ll find theatrical playdates and some reviews to convince you!
Obviously, House should come out on DVD next year, and if you want to discover more works from director Nobuhiko Obayashi, some films are available on DVD R3 with english subs; there’s also a bootleg (?) boxset with all his early experimental films.
By the way, some early Obayashi’s works can be watched online!
