Did you know that Peter Chan’s The Warlords has also an international cut? What’s happening?! It’s another victim this year after Woo’s Red Cliff, Ong Bak 2… It seems like Asian Films can’t keep their original cut for western releases. A new bad habit is born?
The Warlords lost 15 minutes. So what you won’t see in this new version:
- the most violent shots
- scenes showing the reality of war (rape, agony…)
- some difficult moral dilemmas (argument about the 2 teen rapists)
- scenes of explicit adultery between Pang (Jet Li) & Lian (Xu Jinglei)

Le film perd beaucoup en fluidité sur sa version internationale.
Le dvd hk est à privilégier (il est top techniquement en plus !)
